Catching Up ...again...

For some reason I had a complete brain freeze with the latest lessons from Kim Klassen in Be Still 52 AND Start to Finish....ugh !  So I decided to just go ahead and get them done using the photos I took, even though there is something about them that is bugging me :(  At least this means I will be up to date and not dithering about them any more.

Be Still 52  Week 25 Butter and Eggs

I spent an unbelievable amount of time on this and it's still not one of my best efforts, I guess I just wasn't feeling it !

S2F3 Day 11. Story Telling Photos

As you may guess, these shots were another idea for "eggs and butter".........so I decided to use them as a story telling shoot.

S2F3 Day 12 Lifestyle ( Shoot Wide )

Then my white daisies made another appearance in this image. I found the idea of shooting wide really difficult, and was really over thinking it....

  1. The top one is superb! I love the contrast, and the brown paper under a few things. Then your story telling series is so pretty with the light blue dishes, and airy look. LOVE the last two so much!!

  2. I LOVE your butter and eggs image! What is the background? It looks like old metal, it photographs wonderfully. The light is beautiful through the window of your daisy image, the curtains are at just the right spot. Lovely.

    1. Thanks Michelle :) Actually the background is a very old baking tray of mine, way beyond getting clean any more...lol

  3. The last image, shooting wide with the daisies, is divine - it's that light! Your butter and eggs photos are beautiful, too. But I do know what you mean. Sometimes, even though I have all the right props, the shot just doesn't come together for me. I don't know if anyone else can tell it - but I feel it - something off. I chose to view these times as learning - and like you, sometimes I just want to complete an assignment and move on. Inspiration will await on another day . . .

    1. Thanks for understanding Donna. I wasn't looking for sympathy, but empathy.......and your post today spoke to me on so many levels. I think I was in danger of trying to "be like" others and not myself......so I'm moving on......:)

  4. I have to agree with Beverly, for all the reasons she said about the first one, love that background so so much really striking against the eggs and butter. I think you have caught up nicely one each of the assignments, the light and airy wide shot really tells a story of maybe a nice Spring or Summer day with the wind blowing through the curtains. I do however know what you mean about things being on your mind and wanting to get them done. I don't like feeling that way but it is what it is. Beautiful work Caz
