A bit of catching up......and Texture Tuesday 12/16/14

I haven't posted in a while as my hubby has been in hospital twice recently.  Last time was for 12 days and he was released yesterday Sunday 14th December, after having his gallbladder removed and a blockage in his small intestine untwisted. He lost 20lbs in those 12 days, poor thing ! He will be at home recovering for the next few weeks, so after a stressful time I am able to get back "in the groove".  I'm posting photos for Be Still 52 and others that I have enjoyed taking and editing in spare moments between hospital visits.

Be Still 52 Week 25    Butter and Eggs

I used an old baking tray as the background for the above shot.

Be Still 52 Week 26 Square, Top Down, 2 Sides

Be Still 52 Week 27  Vignettes

Be Still 52 Week 28 3 Things (chair/stool, window, backlit)

 Random Christmassy Photos

The above photo of the little truck my hubby bought a couple of months ago is textured with two layers of kk_MagicFilm 2 from the Cloth and Paper collection

  1. Gosh Caz so sorry your husband has been in the hospital and you have had a stressful time but also glad things are coming down to normal for you all. Hope you all enjoy Christmas now that he is home. Your images are just WOW, the first one with the old cookie sheet background is just fantastic. Oh my the one with the pull back of the Christmas green branch is so very special, I could see that one framed huge and brought out at Christmas time to sit on a console table. Just wonderful. You have really out done yourself with all of these. Can't wait to see what you will be doing in 2015. Happy Holidays to you and your family, especially your husband he has really been through it.

  11. Caz, I am so sorry to learn that your husband has been in and out of the hospital! Losing weight by way of surgery and illness is not fun! Hopefully, he will recover swiftly and begin to enjoy good health in the new year. Despite his illness, you have taken a variety of beautiful Christmas still life photos. It's hard to pick my favorite, but that little red truck is simply vintage heaven!

  14. So sorry to hear about what your husband has gone through. As a nurse I cared for people going through that and it is so hard. And no doubt, hard on you as well. I'm glad to hear that you are both home. Your photos are lovely. The butter and eggs are my fave! Merry Christmas!
