This is the theme for Texture Tuesday this week at http://www.kimklassencafe.com/thecafe/tag/texture-tuesday. So I used one of the roses I got for my birthday back in February. I love to dry roses, they're so pretty in all their stages . I used the free samples of Waterfront 18 that Kim kindly gave us today.
In other news, I was away last week, visiting my husband's family in Michigan. I was walking down to look at Lake St Clair and managed to trip, fall and dislocate my ring finger and badly sprain my middle finger ! So a visit to the ER followed, where I was treated very well, and had the two fingers put in splints. Luckily the ( very young ) doctor also managed to get my rings off without resorting to cutting them, which was a good thing ! I also have a very colorful bruise on my chest and two skinned and bruised knees. So I guess you could call me "perfectly imperfect" too ! I won't post a photo of my finger at right angles here, but there is one on my Flickr page if anyone is interested...lol.

In more exciting news, I saw the first hummingbird of the season yesterday ! I love to see these little guys and soon made up some sugar water for the early arrivals. I'm looking forward to a lot more fun with them during the summer :)
Happy Tuesday !
Caz

Your rose is perfect, Caz! I'm sorry to hear about your fall, I hope everything is healing quickly. Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteThanks June, my fingers are healing pretty well, I hope to be back to 100% fairly soon :) Have a wonderful week too :)
DeleteSorry to hear about your accident. It sounded traumatic, but it's great that they were able to save your rings. They probably had huge sentimental value. Congratulations on a really beautiful image. The rose is exquisite. It looks so papery and fragile. All the best for a quick and complete recovery, Bonny
