Be Still 52 Week 33 and The Studio Online

Hi everyone, I hope your weekend is going swimmingly !

I had a lot of fun with the lessons this week.....

The Studio Online - Textiles

A pile of lovely textiles I have collected since becoming a fan of Kim Klassen and an old bobbin from one of the former local textile mills

A slightly different focus point

Close up of bobbin and of course the indispensable snips !

Be Still 52 Week 33 - Citrus

These  Lemony Lemonies ( aka Brownies ) are really tangy and delicious ! I found this recipe on Pinterest here  :

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/15551561189660245/

I lined my baking tin with parchment paper so I could lift them out easily.
Here's the recipe :

3/4 C flour
3/4 C sugar
1/4 t salt
1 stick butter, soft
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon of Lemon juice
zest from 1/2 lemon (about 1t)
Combine the flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
Mix in the softened butter.
In another bowl whisk the eggs with the lemon juice and zest.
Add to the larger bowl and mix well.
Pour into prepared 8X8 brownie pan.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
You can double the recipe and bake in a
9X13 pan for 30 minutes.
Remove and let cool, then glaze.
Glaze
1/2C powdered sugar
1 T lemon juice
additional lemon zest
stir together
It would make a perfect Sunday dessert !
