My find for this week was some beautiful blossoming trees. There used to be a big textile mill in my town where they made towels and sheets and it was the largest manufacturer of towels in the world The owner of the mill built houses for the workers and planted flowering trees alongside many of the roads. The mill was demolished in 2005 to make way for the new North Carolina Research Campus which unfortunately resulted in a massive number of people losing their jobs . But the houses and the trees remain :) Here is more info if anyone is interested : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannon_Mills
Gorgeous !
I used Kim's new textures Just a Touch and Just a Touch 2 on these photos.
Have a wonderful weekend !
Caz
Wow! You have been one very busy lady, Caz!! Kim's classes are so addictive, aren't they? I wondered what happened to Cannon towels and bedding...thanks for sharing that. Although the best part are these gorgeous blooming trees! It must be a sea of pink foam in the neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteThe pink against the brilliant blue just perfect. Have a great weekend x
ReplyDeleteLovely blossoms. Too bad about the mill, hate to see old places torn down.
ReplyDeleteI love the pink on blue, the soft texture of the blossoms, and the shallow depth of field. These images really are spring -and so lovely. Isn't it wonderful that beauty is only a short walk away? I'll be looking forward to taking pictures of cherry blossoms here in Virginia in the next week or so - and yours are great inspiration for me. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking images! These are such delicate blooms!
