This week I've had the pleasure of watching a single sunflower open....it was a gift from the birds I think, and it has really brightened up my patio. I even saw a hummingbird feeding from it today, but didn't have time to get my camera. These are taken with my iPhone and after playing around with various Instagram filters, I added kk_flourishmagic, screen mode 75%

We grew sunflowers last year and they yielded seeds AND numerous photo opportunities! These shots are wonderful. I love the lighting in the first one.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa :)
DeleteSo pretty! I love color and texture in the center of the flower in the third image.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :)
DeleteOh these are the most gorgeous sunflowers I've sent this summer!! How sweet that they were volunteers, and that the hummingbird stopped by to visit. I hope they last a while for your enjoyment!
ReplyDeleteThank you Beverly :)
DeleteDid not have as many sunflowers this year...meaning less photos. :( Yours are SO gorgeous and photographed perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise, this was the only one I had this year :)
DeleteSunshine is filling your post -- LOVE sunflowers! They are to me like a ray of sunshine.. great photos!

Thanks Kris ! :)
DeleteHi Caz, First things first. I had to scroll down a bit to get to a previous blog post as I was so hoping you had shared the results from your biopsy. I am so relieved to read that the cancer had not spread and that chemo treatments are not needed. Glad to hear you are healing. You are wise to pursue the genetic testing and the regular check-ups will provide reassurance. Now, onto the sunshine you brought into my life today - beautiful images of the texture, color and light of the sunflower. The iPhone camera is just amazing (no, I don't have one) in the hands of a talented photographer - that's you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words Donna :)
DeleteWonderful captures of sunny sunflowers. My favorite!
ReplyDeleteThank you ! :)
Deletewonderful shots of your sunflower Caz! I love the first one particularly with its soft texture and the sharp and neat details of its heart and bristles on the edge of the leaves... I like the feeling of movement given by the folded petals as under a light wind... and above all I love the way pale greens and yellows are blending together...
ReplyDeleteThank you Odile :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful experience to watch it open. Great photos. I almost want to get an iPhone just for the camera.
ReplyDeleteThanks Earl ! Yes, it has a great camera, but then my big camera gets left out ! :)
